SATURDAY MILAN (சனிக்கிழமை சங்கமம்) – 150

Warm Greetings from VAMA Charitable Trust!

We are delighted to share the highlights of a truly memorable occasion — the 150th Week Celebration of Sangamam held at our Trust yesterday 20/9/25.

This remarkable milestone was made possible through the unwavering support of our well-wishers, elders, and the wholehearted commitment of our dedicated team.

🌟 A Joyous Gathering
To commemorate this special event, we invited all our beneficiaries — including those who have journeyed with us since the very first week. The event saw an enthusiastic turnout of over 180 elders, along with our associate members and representatives from like-minded NGOs across the district.

SATURDAY MILAN (சனிக்கிழமை சங்கமம்) – 149

We are pleased to share the highlights of the 149th week of Sangamam, held at Sailam.
This week’s theme, “Connecting Generations,” celebrated the beauty of intergenerational bonding. To mark the occasion, we invited children from Merit Hr. Sec. School, Ambasamudram. With the generous support of our well-wisher, Ms. Rohini, a classical dance teacher, 17 children participated, accompanied by some of their parents.
Elders from Thirumalaipuram, Mannarkoil, VK Puram, Kalyanipuram, and Alwarkurichi joined the gathering and enthusiastically took part in the day’s events.

We were honored by the presence of Mr. Meenakshi Subramanian from Mukkudal and Mr. Neelakandan from Ravanasamudram, who graciously attended as special guests. They engaged meaningfully with both elders and children, sharing insightful moral stories and encouraging the children with small prizes for their enthusiastic participation. In a kind gesture, Mr. Subramanian also sponsored a heater for the elders’ room to provide hot water for their comfort.

SATURDAY MILAN (சனிக்கிழமை சங்கமம்) – 148

We are delighted to share that the 148th week of Sangamam was successfully held at Sailam on Saturday, 23rd August.
This week’s gathering was particularly enriching, with participation from individuals across various organizations and regions. We were honored to welcome Mr. Krishnamoorthi, a respected counsellor and elder-care advocate, who joined us as a guest speaker. We also had the pleasure of hosting Dr Badmanaban from the Kallidaikurichi Old Age Home, who spent time interacting with our Trustee and commended the selfless work being done for the elder community.

Mr. Neelakandan, a retired headmaster from Ravanasamudram, attended the event with his wife Mrs. Bhuvaneshwari. A long-time well-wisher of VAMA Trust, Mr. Neelakandan has been instrumental in spreading awareness about our work and supporting us in many meaningful ways. Their continued encouragement and shared interest in service truly added warmth to the occasion.

SATURDAY MILAN (சனிக்கிழமை சங்கமம்) – 147

This week, the 147th week of Sangamam was held at Ambasamudram Veluchamy Mandapam in association with Ambai Tamil Ilakkiya Peravai. The occasion coincided with their 50th Annual Year – Ponvila Celebration, and we had the privilege to join and celebrate this milestone event with them.

More than 250 elders participated in the celebration. Various programs such as school competitions, dance, debate, kavithai, and sorpolivu were conducted. Our VAMA elders also actively participated by singing traditional songs, sharing experiences, and speaking about the activities of VAMA.
