SATURDAY MILAN & (சனிக்கிழமை சங்கமம்) – 175

We are delighted to share the successful completion of the 175th week of Sangamam, held on 9th May at our Sivasailam Centre.

The highlight of this week’s Sangamam was a truly meaningful and heartwarming “Retirement Celebration” — a beautiful example of celebrating life with purpose, compassion, and community bonding.

We were honoured to host the event with the kind support of Shri Arumuga Nainar, Retired Senior Director, NIC Tirunelveli. His wife, Mrs. Muthulakshmi, serving in LIC Tirunelveli, will be retiring at the end of this month after years of dedicated service.
Initially, Madam Muthulakshmi had planned to host a farewell gathering for her colleagues either at a restaurant in Tirunelveli or at a resort in Kerala.

SATURDAY MILAN & (சனிக்கிழமை சங்கமம்) – 174

We are delighted to share the successful completion of the 174th week of Sangamam, held on 2nd May at our Sivasailam Centre.

The highlight of the event was “Preserve the Talent”, where our elders enthusiastically showcased their diverse skills, creativity, and rich life experiences. With great energy and joy, they engaged in a variety of activities—preparing traditional homemade delicacies such as pickles, vadagam, and narthanga urugai; demonstrating age-old cooking methods using wood stoves; creating beautiful drawings; and decorating the huts with a touch of heritage aesthetics. Some elders also participated in Kaatrin Mozhi, connecting and conversing virtually with fellow elders, reflecting the beautiful blend of tradition and technology.

Beyond these activities, what truly stood out was the depth of wisdom and cultural richness our elders brought forward. Many shared forgotten recipes, sustainable living practices, storytelling traditions, devotional songs, and simple yet meaningful crafts rooted in our heritage. Their participation was not just an expression of talent, but a powerful reminder of the invaluable knowledge they carry—knowledge that deserves to be preserved, celebrated, and passed on to future generations.
