VOLUNTEERS

Sometimes the most difficult things could be made very simple with support from the right people. Yes, we would not be able to promote social activities without your support. We strongly feel and believe that involving volunteers who have an urge to serve the society will help us in implementing the social development programmes in an effective way.

You might, in the past years, have contributed and supported many social causes in some or other way. These steps that you had take were a “beginning” and we believe that it is now time to increase your strides.

  • Conducting health talks and fitness programmes for elders

  • Data management and social media promotions regarding the Employment Bureau
  • Improving training manuals and teaching tools
  • Coordinating to arrange for smartphone training for elders at various locations
  • Help in exploring self-employment opportunities for senior citizens

  • Assisting in Mobile Active Ageing programme at old age homes

  • Escorting and bringing patients from their homes to the centre and back

Rules for volunteers.

(Also applies to the NGos or agencies that are outsourced to assist in carrying out the prescribed activities.)

  • Integrity
  • The voluntary activities should be carried out in such a manner that professional work remains unaffected.
  • Volunteers participation should be in the interest of the trust and not for personal gain.
  • All expenses for the trust activity to be pre approved by the designated authority.
  • All volunteers activity will be in line based on directions/tasks assigned by the trust. The volunteer should not perform any task on behalf of the trust without the knowledge of the trust.
  • The volunteers should not indulge in any political activity or give a political/religious etc colour to the activities of the trust.
  • Should follow work ethics/ complete the assigned task within the stipulated time.
  • Should abide by the local law in terms of language, dress etc so as to respect the sentiments of the local people in case of field visit.
  • The volunteer cannot commit for any service or funds without prior written approval from the trust.
  • Volunteers will not speak on behalf of the trust in public forums/ news channels etc.
  • Should not get involved in any kind of agitation/cause which is not within the charter of the trust.
  • Volunteers shall not accept any gifts in cash or monetary instrument during monetary work on behalf of the trust unless otherwise preauthorised in writing.
  • All information related to the trust will be kept confidential and not divulged to any individual/organisation outside the trust.
  • The volunteers shall participate at their own risk. The trust will to the maximum extent ensure safety but the trust will stand indemnified in the eventuality of a mishap which leads to loss of life or physical injury.
