164th Week Saturday Sangamam Dear Sir / Madam, We are pleased to share the successful completion of the 164th week of Saturday Sangamam, held today at Sailam, at the VAMA Charitable Trust Centre. This week’s Sangamam was truly special as we had the honour of hosting our special guest, Mr. Senthur Pari, President of the EXNORA International Foundation, along with his family. Their presence added great value and inspiration to the program. The program was jointly organised by Papanasam Sithar Cottam and Research Academy, which conducted an ASNA Mithra Practical Session at the VAMA Centre. Around 25 trainees, along with CWR Consultant partners from EXNORA and ASNA, well-wishers, and volunteers from various locations actively participated in the session. We also acknowledge the presence of Mr. Vithyanithi Kannaiya, whose contribution significantly enriched the program. CSR Consultant Ms. Radha also joined the program and actively participated in the sessions. Program Highlights The event began with a prayer song, setting a positive and spiritual tone for the day. The elders listened attentively and actively practiced the sessions with the support of our volunteers.

VAMA Charitable Trust successfully organised the 163rd Week of Sangamam on 31st January at Sivasailam with the theme “Namma Ooru, Namma Kadamai”, in association with HelpAge India. The programme brought together more than 200 elders, volunteers, professionals, and community members from Tenkasi and Tirunelveli districts, making it a meaningful and impactful gathering focused on elder welfare, health awareness, and social responsibility. The event was honoured by the presence of Ms. Mathivathana, District Social Welfare Officer; Mr. Muthukrishnan, State Program Manager, HelpAge India; medical professionals from Allopathy and Homeopathy including Dr. Palaniyappan (Q-Lab), Dr. Ramasamy, Dr. Suganya, and Dr. Krishnamoorthy; Mr. Ramalingam and team from Tenkasi Moothor Manram; VAMA Trust Trustees Mr. Muthukumarasamy and Mr. Sundaram; trust advisors and well-wishers Mr. Neelakandan and Mr. Meenakshi Subbiramaniyam. Volunteers from Merit B.Ed College and Mukkudal Balagan Saraswathy College actively supported the smooth conduct of the programme.

We are happy to share that the 162nd Week of Sangamam and Pongal Celebration was successfully held on 10th January at Sailam. More than 150 elders participated and joyfully celebrated the Pongal festival. Elders from Ambai Thiruvalluvar Kazhagam, Ambai Tamil Ilakkiya Peravai, and our Sangamam elders from Mannarkoil, VK Puram, Pappakudi, Kadayam, Thirumalai Puram, Kalyanipuram, Alwarkurichy, and Ambasamuthiram actively took part in the event. Students from Balagan Saraswathy College of Arts and Science, Mukkoodal, supported the program by conducting fun games and a lively “Pattukku Pattu” session, which brought great joy and enthusiasm among the elders.

We are pleased to share the report of the 161st week of Sangamam, held on 4th January, which was organized with New Year celebrations and cultural engagement for elders. Despite the auspicious month of Margazhi and the observance of Thiruvathirai, elders from various locations actively participated in the program. Many of them attended the Thiruvathirai pooja at Sivasailanathar Temple, and in addition, a special pooja was arranged at our Trust office at Soundharya Ganapathy, where kali prasadam was offered to all participants.

We are happy to share that the 160th week of Saturday Sangamam was held successfully on 27th at Sailam. This milestone event was completed with the wholehearted support of our beneficiaries and well-wishers, who continue to participate regularly and introduce new people to our Trust. This week, the program mainly focused on entertainment and recreational activities for elders. Our volunteer Ms. Gowsi conducted fun games and well-planned activities, which brought joy and enthusiasm among the participants. Despite many elders having commitments due to Margazhi Sirappu Pooja, more than 70 elders from various locations participated actively and enjoyed the program.

We are happy to share the highlights of the 159th Week of Sangamam held on 20th Dec 2025, which was successfully conducted at Sailam, in connection with World International Meditation Day. With the objective of promoting mental well-being and a peaceful lifestyle among senior citizens, we organized a guided meditation session with the support of the Heartfulness Meditation Team.The Heartfulness team has been our valued well-wishers for the past three years, and whenever invited, they have consistently supported our elders by conducting meditation sessions along with life skills and soft skills practices.

Dear Sir / Madam, We are happy to share the report of the 158th week of Sangamam, held on 13th December, with the support of HelpAge India, our associate partner, through a medical camp for elders. This week, the camp was organised at Karuthapillaiyur. We are happy to share the highlights of the 157th week of Sangamam, held at Ravanasamuthiram with the theme “Marunthilla Maruthuvam”. Due to the heavy rain, around 50 elders were able to participate in the gathering. Our Trustee Mr. M. Muthukumarasamy done the Thalaimaiyurai for the programme. The event was graced by Dr. Ameer John (Thirumalai Puram), Dr. Jose (Chennai), Mr. Neelakandan, and Dr. Saleem.

We are delighted to share the highlights of the 156th Week of Sangamam, held at Tirunelveli Yathavar Samuthaya Munnetram Kattidam, Tirunelveli. This week’s gathering was made possible with the generous support of our well-wisher Mr. Thiruppathi Prabu, the ISCON team, who supported the venue. A total of 30 elders participated in the Sangamam. As part of our Wellness Program, this week’s Sangamam was conducted under the theme “Mahilvithu Mahil”, focusing on happiness, health, and holistic well-being for elders.
