SATURDAY MILAN (சனிக்கிழமை சங்கமம்) - 166

166th Week of Sangamam – 28th February 2026

The 166th week of Sangamam was successfully conducted at Sailam. This week featured a small and meaningful gathering of elders, focusing on personal interaction and emotional well-being.

We had valuable one-on-one interactions with the elders to understand their interests, their feelings about VAMA, and how effectively we are supporting them in staying connected with society and preventing social isolation. Elders from VK Puram and Thirumalaipuram actively participated in the program.

Many elders enjoyed spending time with their peer group, sharing their childhood memories and engaging in heartfelt conversations. This created a joyful and emotionally enriching environment.

Our trustee, Mr. Kumar, interacted with the elders and spoke about the importance of maintaining good health. He emphasized regular health care practices, including simple exercises, “mudras,” and yoga as part of their daily routine.

We also conducted small, engaging activities for the elders. Additionally, we discussed the upcoming eye camp to be conducted by Sankara Nethralaya, Chennai. Elders were encouraged to attend without fail and make use of this opportunity for their eye health.

As part of the entertainment session, elders watched scenes from the classic movie Veerapandiya Kattabomman, featuring the powerful dialogues of actor Sivaji Ganesan. Many elders enthusiastically recreated their favorite dialogues, adding fun and nostalgia to the program.

After lunch, all elders were safely dropped back at their homes. They returned with happy hearts, making the 166th week of Sangamam a memorable and caring experience focused on health, connection, and joy.
