SATURDAY MILAN (சனிக்கிழமை சங்கமம்) - 185

We are delighted to share the report of the 185th Week of Sangamam, held on 25th July at Ramanathi Dam, near Thalaimalai Sastha Temple.

This week’s Sangamam was organized to enable our senior citizens to participate in the Varuna Jebam (Prayer for Rain). More than 45 elders from various locations joined the spiritual gathering. VAMA Charitable Trust arranged transportation facilities to ensure that all participants could comfortably attend the event.

The programme was organized by Mr. Suresh, and our well-wisher Mr. Neelakandan warmly invited our elders to participate in this special prayer seeking timely rainfall and the well-being of the farming community. Our senior citizens enthusiastically accepted the invitation and actively took part in the prayers.

The outing also aligned with VAMA’s objective of providing meaningful recreational and spiritual experiences for senior citizens. With this visit, we successfully completed our planned outing programme for the month. The elders travelled in two groups and thoroughly enjoyed the scenic beauty of Ramanathi Dam. Many participants shared that it was their first visit to this beautiful location. The picturesque surroundings, flowing river, green hills, and peaceful atmosphere made the trip a memorable experience for everyone.

The organizers extended warm hospitality and served a delicious traditional lunch, including vada and payasam, which was enjoyed by all the elders.

The programme concluded with the participants returning home with joyful hearts, cherished memories, and spiritual satisfaction. We sincerely thank Mr. Suresh, Mr. Neelakandan, and all the well-wishers and volunteers for making this meaningful outing and prayer gathering a great success.

VAMA Charitable Trust remains committed to promoting the physical, emotional, social, and spiritual well-being of senior citizens through such enriching programme
