SATURDAY MILAN (சனிக்கிழமை சங்கமம்) - 192

We are delighted to share the report of the 192nd Week of VAMA Sangamam, held on 19 September 2026 at the VAMA Charitable Trust campus. More than 60 elders participated in the programme with great enthusiasm and interest.

As the programme coincided with the first Saturday of the Purattasi month, many elders expressed their interest in singing Perumal devotional songs. We commenced the programme with a prayer song, followed by various entertaining games designed to encourage active participation and create a joyful atmosphere.

One of the most interesting games was “Who Am I?” In this game, participants selected a paper containing the name of a person, place, animal, bird, or actor. The participant had to give clues to the audience through actions without speaking or opening their mouth. The audience then tried to identify the correct answer. The elders thoroughly enjoyed this activity, and many participants performed enthusiastically through creative actions, bringing laughter and excitement to the gathering.

We also conducted a Musical Chairs activity, in which the elders participated with great enthusiasm. They enjoyed the game, dancing and celebrating together, creating a lively and joyful atmosphere.

Following the entertainment activities, we introduced our new concept of the AISERC Centre and explained its proposed services and action plan for elders. We also invited the elders to join us as volunteers and contribute their time and experience to the initiative. Many elders expressed their willingness to volunteer and support the activities of the AISERC Centre.

Lunch was served to all the participating elders. After lunch, we conducted an interactive session on the Elders’ Entrepreneurship Concept, with the support of VAMA. The session focused on encouraging elders to contribute their skills and experience towards preparing traditional Kaipakkuvam products, thereby promoting engagement, dignity, and meaningful participation in livelihood-related activities.

Following the session, tea was served to the elders. The programme concluded on a happy note, with all participants leaving the campus with joyful hearts and memorable experiences.

We sincerely thank all the elders, volunteers, supporters, and well-wishers who contributed to the successful conduct of the 192nd Week of VAMA Sangamam. Their enthusiastic participation and continued support motivate us to strengthen our commitment to the welfare, dignity, and happiness of senior citizens.

With warm regards,
