We are happy to share the highlights of the 141st week of Sangamam at Sailam.

This week’s theme was “Preserve the Talent”, and the gathering saw the enthusiastic participation of over 80 elders.

A debate was conducted on the topic:
“Does God lead us closer to Him through devotion (Bakthi) or service (Thondu)?”

The debate was moderated by Mr. Lakshmanan from Ambasamudram, and six participants shared their thoughts passionately. Mrs. Amutha and Mrs. Lakshmi presented compelling arguments in favor of Thondu and Bakthi respectively, both emphasizing their importance in reaching God.

Mr. Lakshmanan enriched the session by sharing inspiring stories from the lives of the Nayanmars and their dedicated service to society. All the elders deeply appreciated the thought-provoking discussion and the speakers’ contributions.

Following the debate, traditional lunch was served, featuring this week’s special menu:
More kulambu, Panana Puttu, Rasam, More (Buttermilk), and Puliyodarai.
Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the delicious, home-style meal.

After lunch, our team members led the “Pattukku Pattu” session, where participants joined in singing devotional old songs. The program concluded with a chorus song, sung together by all.

Finally, everyone enjoyed a cup of Sukku coffee, marking the end of a joyful and enriching day before the team dispersed.
