SATURDAY MILAN (சனிக்கிழமை சங்கமம்) - 164

Dear Sir / Madam,
We are pleased to share the successful completion of the 164th week of Saturday Sangamam, held today at Sailam, at the VAMA Charitable Trust Centre.

This week’s Sangamam was truly special as we had the honour of hosting our special guest, Mr. Senthur Pari, President of the EXNORA International Foundation, along with his family. Their presence added great value and inspiration to the program.

The program was jointly organised by Papanasam Sithar Cottam and Research Academy, which conducted an ASNA Mithra Practical Session at the VAMA Centre. Around 25 trainees, along with CWR Consultant partners from EXNORA and ASNA, well-wishers, and volunteers from various locations actively participated in the session. We also acknowledge the presence of Mr. Vithyanithi Kannaiya, whose contribution significantly enriched the program. CSR Consultant Ms. Radha also joined the program and actively participated in the sessions.

Program Highlights
The event began with a prayer song, setting a positive and spiritual tone for the day. The elders listened attentively and actively practiced the sessions with the support of our volunteers.

CSR Consultant Ms. Radha conducted a practical session on Mithra and Moochu Payirchi (breathing practices), which was well received by the elders.
Mr. Vithyanithi Kannaiya explained the concepts of ASNA Mudra, elaborated on Human Mirror Trust activities, and clearly outlined the objectives and impact of ongoing projects. He also highly appreciated the continuous efforts taken for the Thamiraparani River cleaning activities, highlighting the strong support and active involvement of the EXNORA International Foundation in protecting and restoring the river ecosystem. He emphasized the importance of community participation and environmental responsibility in sustaining natural water resources.

Our volunteers Ms. Gowsi and Ms. Gowsi conducted engaging fun games and group activities. The game “Ettiki Potty” was especially enjoyed by all participants and brought joy and laughter to the gathering.

Special Address
During his address, Mr. Senthur Pari spoke passionately about Iyarkai (Nature) and its vital role in human survival. He encouraged everyone to align their minds with nature (“Iyarkaiyodu Inaivom”) and to give greater importance to environmental conservation. He also appreciated the depth and values embedded in Thiruvasagam songs and their relevance to human life and Adiyarkal traditions.

Community Lunch
A traditional lunch was lovingly served to all participants, including rice, sambar, aviyal, kootu, rasam, appalam, and other traditional dishes. The meal was enjoyed by everyone and reflected the warmth and care of the VAMA family.

Elder Engagement Session
Post-lunch, a dedicated session for elders was organised featuring musical chair games, interactive activities, and a feedback-sharing session. Elders were given an opportunity to share their memorable life experiences, which they did with great enthusiasm, emotion, and joy, making the session deeply meaningful and heartwarming.

Gratitude & Felicitation
Mr. Senthur Pari expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the elders and appreciated the tireless efforts of VAMA Charitable Trust and its volunteers for their consistent dedication and selfless service.

The program concluded with a vote of thanks by our Trustee, Mr. Muthu Kumarasamy, who thanked all participants, volunteers, and special guests. The Chief Guest was honoured with a memento on behalf of VAMA Charitable Trust.
The event ended on a joyful and memorable note, with all participants returning home with sweet hearts and cherished memories
