SATURDAY MILAN (சனிக்கிழமை சங்கமம்) - 173

We are happy to share about the successful completion of the 173rd week of Sangamam, held on 26th April at our Sivasailam center. This week was a very interesting and enjoyable gathering with our elders, focusing on their wonderful Kaipakkuvam (traditional cooking skills) through the preparation of homemade pickles and vadagam.

The day began with an interactive discussion led by our Trustee Sir with the elders about the Paramaindri Pirivu and the concept of Magizhvithu Magizh. All the elders shared their experiences over the past two months, explaining what they had been doing as part of the initiative and how they felt during the process. It was heartwarming and inspiring to listen to their thoughts and experiences.

In the afternoon, the elders expressed their desire to do something special for Sangamam, especially during this summer season. They suggested preparing foods that are useful and tasty during hot weather. After discussion, they decided to prepare pickles and vadagam.

We were blessed to receive Kidara Narthai fruits from our well-wisher Mr. Neelakandan, from his farm. With great enthusiasm, the elders prepared Narthai pickle, which is known to be helpful for digestion. Along with that, our elders had already prepared Onion Vadagam and Rice Vadagam, which were packed beautifully. We are planning to distribute these to elders and sponsors.

The entire day was filled with joy, teamwork, laughter, and learning, as we enjoyed the elders’ valuable kitchen wisdom and traditional recipes.

On the same day, our well-wisher Mr. Ramani’s sister Mrs. Lartha and Mr. Sundaram’s Sashtiapthapoorthy celebration happened at Ravanasamudram ,they sponsored lunch for our all the elders. Their neighbours also visited our Trust with much interest and participated happily.

Overall, this week’s Sangamam was truly memorable, celebrating the love, knowledge, and traditional Kaipakkuvam of our elders.

Thank you for your continued support.
