In this week’s meeting, VAMA team discussed with people their experiences and feedback with VAMA association, during these last 95 weeks engagement.
Day started with prayer song, sung by Mrs. Amutha and Mrs. Esakkiyammal. We requested elders to share their experience with VAMA during these all 96 weeks.
Mr. Subbiramanian shared that VAMA is doing a great job for the elders. Now he feels he has many new friends by participating in VAMA Saturday Sangamam fest. He will not miss any Saturday sangamam.
Mrs. Esakkiyammal stated that VAMA provided them with an opportunity to express themselves and share their thoughts without hesitation and to provide a platform for showcasing their talents. VAMA members formed a new relationship with them. The medical camp once a month was very useful for checking their health and doctors’ advice was also very useful for maintaining their health. In the beginning, she did not know about her singing skills, but after participating in the Saturday Sangamam, she is now well prepared to sing the song in the correct tune and she is able to speak in Pattimantram as well. She had the opportunity to sing the prayer song at the Tamil Elakkiya Peravai in Ambasamuthiram last month.
The elders demonstrated their talents on the Kolattam and Kummiattam , and many elder ladies shared their knowledge and experience about the traditional games and dances of Kummi and kollattam.
In addition, they were interested in continuing the Sangamam, after the completion of the 100 weeks.
Rice, Sambar, Rasam, chow chow Koottu, Drumstick Keerai, and Coriander leaves Thuvayal with moore were enjoyed by the elders. Following lunch, the elders performed well in singing songs. Tea was served at 3.30 p.m. and everyone returned home. We wish to thank Mr. Muthukumarasamy, the trustee who owns all of these concepts and ensures that they are successfully implemented with effective team members.
