99th Week of Saturday Sangamam held today 8th June 2024, with more than 90 elders at Sailam.

Elders gathered at 10 a.m. as usual after visiting the Sailappar temple. The event started with a prayer song sung by Mrs. Puspam and some other beneficiaries. After the prayer, they performed meditation with some breathing exercises and small games, including rubbing their palms and placing them on their eyes. This practice soothes stressed eyes and increases blood circulation around them.

98th week of Saturday Sangamam was held on (01.06.2024) with more than 90 elders at Sailam. They arrived at 10.am as usual after visiting the Sailappar temple. The event was started with a prayer song sung by all beneficiaries. After the prayer they performed Meditation with some breathing exercises and some small games involving rubbing the palms when placed on the eyes, the heat soothes the stressed eyes and increases blood circulation around the eyes. They then played a game by connecting dots continuously without taking their hands. By playing this game, the elders enjoyed with this games . After that, they played Lucky Corner. This game is very interesting to the elders because this game choose who is the luckiest person of the day .

97th week of Saturday samgamam at sailam was held yesterday (25/05/2024) with around 90 elders from V.K.Puram, Kalyanipuram, Mannarkoil, Alwarkurichy ,Puthudiyiruppu etc. Although there was threat of heavy raining and it was raining till 9 am., with the blessing of Sree Paramakalyani Amman and Sree Sivasailanathar, the event started & went smoothly.
Mr. Lakshmikandhan Bharathi Retired IAS, one of the beneficiaries who visited Tenkasi Thiruvalluvar Kazhagam event last Friday learned from Kailai Charitable Trust, Krishnapuram, Kadaiyanallur, Tenkasi about PANJAPURANAM reciting program.

96th week of Saturday Sangamam at Sailam was held on 18-05-2024. VAMA Team planned Connecting Generation Theme, Due to orange alert issued by the Meteorological Department in Tenkasi and Nellai. We requested the children to continue their activities at their centres at Pappakudi and Mannarkoil. Around 70 elders participated and enjoyed kodai malai saral during the event. In this week’s meeting, VAMA team discussed with people their experiences and feedback with VAMA association, during these last 95 weeks engagement.

95th week of Saturday Sangamam at Sailam was held on 11-05-2024. Concept as planned was connecting generations. Around 90 elders and above 98 children were present. Ms Koirala and Ms Subha compered and engaged with children and elders to connect them through multiple activities.

94th week of Saturday Sangamam program to reduce the social isolation of elders was held yesterday – 4th May 2024. As Summer Camp activities for children started from 2nd May 2024, Connecting Generation was the concept. Children who are attending our Summer Camp program at Sivasailam, Mannarkoil and Pappakudi along with the coordinator and others joined the program. With our regular elders of around 92, 86 children joined and the event had 178 participants.

93rd week of Sailathil Saturday Sangamam event was held on 27/4/2024. With the elders from Papakudi, this week there were more than 110 elders and event started with the appreciation for the Vama Team’s hospitality. To enable all to gather around 10 A.M., Vama’s Van was sent to Papakudi at around 7.45 A.M. and they reached much earlier around 8.45 A.M. Elders visited Sree Paramakalyani Semeda Sree Sivasailanathar Temple and back to Sailam. As they started before 7.30 A.M. from their houses, they could not take breakfast and hesitant to ask. Sh. Natarajan sir who coordinated to bring elders from Papakudi checked with Ms. Lakshmi of Vama Team on the availability of tea in the nearby shop. Immediately Ms. Lakshmi connected with Ms. Vadivoo for arranging breakfast and served Uppuma and Tea to all. Both Mr. Natarajan and Mr. Subramanian appreciated the team for their hospitality with smile.

Saturday Sangamam at sailam was celebrated on 20-04-2024 with the concept of AEGING CELEBRATION. As usual around 90 elders participated. The program was conducted by the B.Ed students Ms. Kowsalya and Ms. Suba form Merit Bed college, This week we focused on to receive the feedback from the elders ,the points which was our basic concept in the initial time when we start the program 1st week of sangamam.

91st week of Sailathil Saturday Sangamam was held on 13/4/24.
We enabled elders to travel and participate in the Alwarkurichi Ther Thiruvizha. Sree Paramakalyani Sameda, Sree Sivasailanathar blessed everyone. It was told that for last 9 days Sree Sivasailanathar came veedhi uzha in different Vahans. If anyone who could not get the opportunity to see those events, seeing Sree Sivasailanathar in Ther is a great opportunity to get blessed.

90th week of Saturday Sangamam at Sailam was celebrated yesterday with the concept of Connecting Generations.
As usual around 90 elders participated. We invited Mr. Madasamy, Retired Head Master, Sree Paramakalyani Hr Sec School and Ms. Srija Gomathy from Tenkasi. Ms. Srija is one of the famous writers and the journalist and she is native of Alawrkurichy. She was in Chennai and focussing on her writing and making social awareness through her writing. She spoke about her experience of travelling with her husband extensively all parts of India and having different experiences to learn life lessons
